System Engineer for the Special Flight Squadron at Skaraborg Air Force Wing

The Special Flight Squadron at Skaraborg Air Force Wing conducts flight services with radar and signal reconnaissance aircraft, transport flights, aircraft maintenance services, and work on continued airworthiness. The squadron is an operational unit and can be deployed at short notice for missions both nationally and internationally.

In the role of system engineer in the Swedish Armed Forces, you will play an important part in an authority that is experiencing strong growth. The system engineer belongs to the flight systems section 100/102, which includes operational system engineers, planning engineers, material planners, and technical accounting officers. Main Responsibilities

Act as the link between the unit and the Central Technical Manager (CT)/Technical Manager Material Systems (TCM) regarding technical system support and deviation management, as well as providing qualified technical system support to the air unit. Furthermore, you will initiate, prepare, and produce what is required to maintain continued airworthiness of the equipment in use. Ensure availability of approved maintenance data and produce repair documentation.

• Approved secondary education
• Relevant education as an engineer or aircraft technician
• Specialist officer SO7
• Good ability to report, document, and perform investigations and assessments in writing.
• Good knowledge of the Office suite
• Driver's license for manual transmission
• Good knowledge of English in both spoken and written form
• Swedish citizenship and approved security and background check

• Type training on Gulfstream GIV
• Experience in aircraft material services
• Experience working with maintenance tracking data systems
• Knowledge of the MyCMP system
• Knowledge of continued airworthiness management and administrative procedures for continued airworthiness
